Bradesco, one of the largest private banks in Brazil has been experiencing a number of changes in its higher level management. The changes have begun setting in because of the retirement of one of the more well-known members of the company. As of October last year, the person serving in the position of chairman of Bradesco came forward to announce that he would be retiring from his position. The chairman served in this position for over twenty-five years, and now, upon completing ninety-one years of age decided that it was time for him to retire and pass the torch onto someone else.
Because of this retirement, the board of directors at Bradesco were then forced into a position wherein they would have to elect someone new to the position of chairman at Bradesco according to g1.globo.com. Bradesco has always been a company to follow a range of customs and traditions, which is why the person who was going to be elected to this position was supposed to be from within the company itself. Bradesco has held onto the practice of only selecting people to higher positions within the company who have been working with the company for a considerable amount of time, and who knows the company well. Because of this, the person who would be selected as the chairman of the company would at the time be holding another position within the company.
After evaluating all of the potential candidates for these positions, Bradesco’s team of directors decided that Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi would be the best fit for this kind of a position. There were several reasons why Trabuco was chosen to be the leader to the company, and many of those were because of the contribution that Trabuco had towards the company during the time that he served as the President of Bradesco. Trabuco first took on this position in 2009, which was when the company stood as the second largest private bank in the country. Over the years, he implemented some changes that improved the workings of Bradesco, and the services that they provided.
Because of the impact that Trabuco had on the overall workings of the company, the board of directors saw no one better than him to take on this position within the company. But as Trabuco was being offered his new post as chairman, his old position of being the President to Bradesco would thereon fall vacant. The position of President followed the same rule as that of the chairman, by which only someone already working within the company would be allowed to take on the position. The board had to once again evaluate all the choices that they had for people who could potentially take on the position of President at the company. After much deliberation and consideration, the board of directors came to the conclusion that Octavio de Lazari should be the one to take on this new position of the President of Bradesco.
Both the leaders have now started performing all of their operations, and the industry is looking forward to the developments that the two new leaders are going to bring to the company.
During the past decade, online dating has become increasingly popular. However, online dating sites have not always been the most female-friendly. Entrepreneur Whitney Wolfe is seeking to change that with her “100% feminist” dating and social app Bumble.
Whitney Wolfe had co-founded Tinder. She departed the company in 2014. Her negative experiences at Tinder led her to creating Bumble, which is designed as a sort of antidote to a culture of misogyny.
With Bumble, Whitney Wolfe created the anti-Tinder. Women are given more control than they are on other dating apps. In heterosexual matches on the dating platform, it is the woman who has the power to initiate conversation.
Whitney Wolfe has also tackled other common issues that women encounter on most dating platforms. Bumble users must respond to messages within 24 hours; this was enacted to eliminate the practice of ghosting. Photos in underwear are banned from the site, which prevents the all-too-common crotch shots posted on other platforms. No mirror selfies are permitted on the site, either. The site has also banned photos that have guns in them; this was done in an effort to make all users feel safe within the space.
Bumble may be helping to change the landscape of online dating, but the app is not merely limited to potential romantic matches. A Bumble BFF mode was added in 2016 so that users could find friends. Bumble Bizz was launched the following year as a way of providing a woman-first career networking space.
Whitney Wolfe’s early experiences helped to provide a platform for her work with Bumble. Her first business was started during college; she sold bamboo totes bags with the goal of helping areas affected by BP’s Deepwater Horizon oil spill. This led to a partnership with Patrick Aufdenkamp and the launch of a nonprofit. This venture received press coverage after the tote bags caught the attention of some celebrities.
After graduating from Southern Methodist University with a degree in International Studies, Whitney Wolfe headed abroad. She went to work with orphanages in Southeast Asia for a bit.
Whitney Wolfe has not only helped others to make love matches. She has found her own love match, too. She married oil heir Michael Herd in a wedding in Postiano, Italy in 2017.

Aloha Construction, Inc. has been in the roofing and siding business in Northern Illinois and the surrounding areas since 2008. As a family owned business, they have seen positive growth serving all of Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. In 2015 they opened an office in Bloomington, which quickly became nearly as busy as their Lake Zurich Headquarters location. Recently they have released a new website aimed at more easily providing clients the expert help they need. They are also expanding their services with the launch of an interior restoration service.
Aloha Construction’s CEO and President, David A. Farbaky, is pleased with the company’s growth through the years. In 2013 they completed 7,000 projects, but this year that number was over 20,000 projects. Farbaky has explained that this year is all about making life easier for the residents in the areas they service. Recently that has included helping customers in Northern Illinois who experienced damage from hail, high wind and storms. However, they are excited to move beyond roofing, siding and gutters to interior services.
They have unofficially aided homeowners with remodeling services since they opened, but Aloha Construction has decided it’s time to put their experience to work with a stand alone team dedicated to interior restoration service. This new branch of their business will be located near their Lake Zurich Headquarters and will focus on restoration and remodeling. Their interior restoration services will include things like water extraction, natural disaster aide, and clean-ups. Their remodeling experts will also be able to remodel kitchens, bathrooms and basements.
Aloha Construction is bonded and trusted, and proudly serves the midwest with their insured General Contractors. They offer free roof inspections and a 10 year craftsmanship warranty. Their services include installation of doors, gutters, insulation, siding, Soffit, Stucco and windows. They also clean and waterproof roofs, along with repairs.
